Karate Album Sampler by L 33

The red glow of the setting sun spills across the dojo floor. One of Eatbrain’s mightiest warriors casts a dark silhouette against the backdrop of this dying day, composed and coiled to strike in the fading light. With the birth of night they will rise again, the immortal undead, shuffling in the darkness on an endless journey to the signal source. He is the watcher of the night, the last point of defence, upon his intricate and swift skills all hope rests. Night is here, they are arisen from the depths… time to kill the dead again.

L 33 strikes and connects a skilfully executed blow for EATBRAIN, dropping the sampler for his forthcoming album within the precise and perfect form of the KARATE EP. Comprising a sequence of 4 devastating moves, this is deadly taste of a gargantuan LP yet to come on one of neurofunk's leading labels. The EP lands its deadly intentions with BLOODBRAIN and EARTHBOUNCE deliver a pair of neuro bangers with swift pace and sharp-edged reeses, whilst CLUBLIFE and ZEALOT deftly push heads down to immerse ravers within their weighty rolling energy.

For the second release of 2016, Eatbrain brings the pain – delivering a mighty assault upon the dance from an artist who resides deep within the palpitating heart of the label, and serving as a herald for an even greater release to come.

Eatbrain // Eatbrain Goes To Let It Roll EP

It began as a whisper, spoken in low tones in multiple languages in the uneasy night. Talk of a place where the greatest of mecha roam, gathering amongst the desolate ruins of a war prepared for and never fought. The first explorers returned with stories of low frequency weapons, harvested from the ruined depths of a subterranean complex. With these re-engineered into towering relays capable of pure sonic carnage, the lands began filling rapidly with pilgrims from distant places, offering themselves as captives to their own higher mental states. What was once a mere whisper has now become legend, with this meeting of the mightiest clans bringing forth the greatest frequency warriors to stake out their claims.

EATBRAIN casts a long shadow across the fray, setting seasoned label veterans L 33 and MINDSCAPE into the hordes of adrenaline-fuelled ravers alongside recent label additions MACHINECODE and AGRESSOR BUNX - all of whom have LPs coming on the label as well as appearing at the festival. A tight manifesto is stretched across the 4 rowdy and high-energy tracks that make up the EATBRAIN GOES TO LET IT ROLL, with the irresistible audio manipulative skills of Eatbrain crafted to exquisitely tear up the dance. A reflection in sound of the perfect marriage between one of the best contemporary neurofunk labels and one of the most impressive live spaces that exists for drum and bass.

Tracks:
1. L 33 – Stand Down feat. Nuklear
2. Agressor Bunx – Big Daddy
3. Machine Code – Planet 9
4. Mindscape – Buzzkill

Eatbrain // Mammoth EP

Mammoth EP by Segment & Concept Vision

A fresh relic was unearthed in the distant East and the retreating ice sheets of Siberia - the ancient bones of a forgotten race, once again touched by sunlight and air, stirring the caged memories within. Tendrils of this prehistoric demon’s soul wrapped themselves around those who made the discovery – entrancing, captivating and compelling them with its dark story from the deep past. It is a tale that runs eternal, an account of the deepest savagery of nature - a conflict that has spilled across every conscious being and drives the endless cycle of life.

EATBRAIN channel a tale of a forgotten age through the unique minds of SEGMENT & CONCEPT VISION and their MAMMOTH EP. Featuring 4 precisely engineered cuts of audio that reach into the fraught and fractured core of existence and tear deep grooves into those who listen. VINTAGE opens the EP with luscious dub-driven pads and undulating tones that drop into a shifty and tight neurofunk banger, punctuated by pitched vocal stabs. RADIANT tears up the dance with a strobing and sweeping bassline, backed with a beautiful yearning melody and soft arpeggios. The title track of the EP MAMMOTH takes careful aim before striking a series of brutally syncopated blows, before HEIST takes down the rave in a flood of sirens leading to a stepper with an eminently catchy hook and deep, driving vibe.

Tracks:
1. Segment & Concept Vision - Charge
2. Segment & Concept Vision - Radiant
3. Segment & Concept Vision - Mammoth
4. Segment & Concept Vision - Heist
